I'm Just Getting More and More Worried About the Sonic Movie
So we know there are three big video game franchises coming to the big screen. Mario, detective Pikachu and Sonic. But the one that makes me worry the most is Sonic. Here's why!
Its Live Action
This is the first sign of scary things to come! It will be on earth, with real people and real places and Sonic will be CGI. If that's not a spell for disaster than check out the next part!
He's a Juvenile Delinquent
Next up is even more bad news!
im Gianopulos, who is Paramount’s chairman and CEO, revealed at the 10th annual PGA that Sonic will be portrayed as a juvenile delinquent in the movie adaptation of the long standing video game series. “He’s a juvenile delinquent on the adventures in a pretty straight rural environment with a local policeman. It was instantly engaging and it was good enough where you could see where it’s going.”
Ooooooh boy! Sonic on an adventure with a police man, that's a new one! I bet he got in trouble for speeding! Also, sounds like were going back to the bragging Jerk sonic, I was hoping it would fade away with Sonic Mania and Sonic bragging less and less in the games but, alas. But wait, there's more!
Sega Will Have Little to Do With The Movie
This one is the most recent news. What's strange is that one person says Sega has nothing to do with it but Sonic's Team Head says otherwise. Here's the latest scoop.
Johnny Gioeli during his Too Many Games panel which took place yesterday.“Sega has nothing to do with that movie…absolutely nothing,”
That sounded pretty straight forward to me! But Takashi Izuka, Sonic Team’s head, has contradicted Johnny Gioeli and says that he is the supervisor on the movie.
In any case, does it matter? Sega seems to keep ruining there own franchises, so what do you think? Will the latest Sonic Movie not be terrible? Let us know what you think in the comments below. Also, don't forget to like, share and subscribe to NintendosView.
