All Hints (So Far) For Mario to Appear In Wreak it Ralph 2

Alright, so there have been plenty of rumors and hints for our favorite plumber Mario to appear in Wreak it Ralph 2. But the question is, what hints and clues are there? Well, let's find out!

Plot Hint

Alright, so trailer three revealed some of the plot of the film. So (her name)'s game got shut down and she wants to become an even better racer. So, they head to the internet.

     Hmmm, remember when the Mario Kart song was heard in Disney World? Well, what if they race off agents Mario himself! It might actually fit into the plot and could work! From the trailer it looks like for the most part they will be in a darker racing place and the internet but who knows!

Mushrooms In Trailer #1

Interestingly, there are two hints for Mario being in it in the first reveal trailer! First is the mushrooms in the playground look an awful lot like Mario mushrooms! And the second is a giant Mario mushroom in the internet. Could it be hinting for later in the movie for Ralph to head over to a Mario game? Maybe.

The Directors Want Mario In!

As it turns out, they really wanted to put Mario in the original but they couldn't find the right moment. However, with a sequel coming, I think they'll find a good spot for him! Here's what the director said back when the original came out.

“If we’re lucky enough to have a sequel then we’ll create that moment that’s perfect for [Mario].”

“Over the course of developing the story I was always looking for the perfect moment or scene to include Mario.”

“But it had to be organic, it had to feel like [the scene] was made for him and unfortunately as we were developing the story that moment never made itself clear.”

“We’ll really come up with something good for Mario to do [in the next film]“, says Moore. “To be able to present him in the sequel, would be great."

If that's not proof, I don't know what is! But if you still want more...

Mario's Voice Actor Appeared On IMDb

If all that other evidence wasn't enough for you, here's more! First spotted by Nintenderos, the IMDb page for Wreck-It Ralph 2 lists famous Mario voice artist Charles Martinet as part of the cast. Now, Charles has voiced Mario since 64 and has done so for every spin-off and main game since!

      

 Also keep in mind that Wreck-It Ralph 2 has managed to secure Anthony Daniels as C-3PO, Ming-Na Wen as Mulan, and Idina Menzel as Elsa from Frozen among many other voices this just shows that there not playing around with voice actors!
