Super Smash Bros Ultimate First Impressions
Super Smash Bros Ultimate First Impressions
Hello everyone! Now, I don't own Super Smash Bros Ultimate yet, but I have gotten to play it for a couple hours at a friends house the day after it came out. Now, I'm jumping from melee to Ultimate so I'll often be comparing the two. Now, let's jump right in!
Stages
The stages in this game look really good, at least most of the ones I played. While most I loved re-visiting in HD or for the first time, but there was just one stage that I was much happier with the melee version. And that is Brinistar depths. Melee gives off a much more ominous, dark and creepy vibe to it while Ultimate's is a bit more bright and rock n' roll feeling. Other than that, no complaints.
Characters and Controls
Now, they only had a few unlocked, but from what is there, they controlled really well! I also noticed lots of them have had plenty of tweaks since melee, like Mario's down B move now being FLUDD, and of course some Breath of the Wild tweaks to Link.
GamePlay
Now, I'm going to be looking at this from a melee perspective. And I must say, there have been quite a few tweaks since melee! Like being able to move while using fireflowers or while powering up your heavy attacks.
It just as chaotic, and strategic fun as ever! With a lot more Pokémon, items, a LOT MORE assist trophies (They weren't in Melee.) new final smashes and more! It was amazing and I had a great time, even though we had only unlocked a few characters.
I even got the see the stage morph in action, which was as awesome as it looked!
Sadly I didn't get to play anything in single player, but when I get it, I'll give you guys a more in-depth review.
So, what do you think of Smash Ultimate? Was it as great as you thought? Let us know in the comments below. Also, don't forget to like, share and subscribe to GamingTelescope. Thanks for taking a look.
